Resurfacing Negligence Causes Motorbike Crash

Hayley Briers recently obtained damages for a client who came off his motorbike as a result of excess gravel left on the road following resurfacing works without adequate warning to road users.

The incident would have been avoidable if suitable alerts had been provided, but instead our client was left with several injuries and damaged kit.

Hayley initially submitted the claim to the local authority, although it was ultimately settled against their contractors, who were responsible for undertaking the works in a safe manner.

Having compiled the required evidence to prove liability and negligence, Hayley managed to secure compensation worth £2,700.
