Liz Hoskin Blog: New Toy!

So, on Thursday I was idly flicking through the small-ads in Motorcycle News when I happened across a photograph of a nice looking Suzuki SFV650. Two days later I rode pillion with The Husband to Congleton, paid over a sum of money and transferred my insurance cover and took possession of Gladstone The Green!

From Congleton rode across to see a friend in Northwich, then back home.  The following day Gladstone enjoyed a day with many many friends at the Bike 4 Life 2016 which was all to raise money for the Midlands Air Ambulance and the great work they do.  Those taking part met up in Shrewsbury  (see photograph) and was followed by a mass ride-out, with the A5 and M54 closed to all traffic except motorcycles as far  as RAF Cosford.

I was pleased to meet up with my fellow Sorrymate colleagues on our stand at the show, which was excellent.  The weather was lovely and it is a pleasure to see so many bikers out and about. Gladstone enjoyed the ride back along the A41, too.

On Monday more travelling!  Firstly to The Husband’s business, the Plassey Brewery in Wrexham (see photo)  to do some work there,  then on to the nearest Suzuki dealership in Chester to book a service for Gladstone, then on to a motorcycle accessories warehouse to spend more money, this time on new Kevlar jeans and a new helmet, before yet another lovely ride back in the sunshine.

Since Saturday I have put no fewer than 160 happy miles on the ‘bike already and filled up with fuel twice!

Here’s to a great summer.
