Only you can know whether the insurance is entirely suitable for your needs but we have included cover for all the things most cyclists need. You can choose the level of cover you buy so that it fits with your cycling needs. Accidental and Malicious Damage, Liability and Theft are all included and if you are planning on taking a cycling holiday cover is also extended to anywhere in Europe for up to a maximum of 90 days in any one year with our Gold policy.

What is covered under this insurance?

Theft, Accidental Damage, Malicious Damage, Replacement Cycle Hire, Public Liability, Personal Accident, Roadside Recovery (Silver and Gold policies only) and European Cover (Gold policies only, 30 day per trip and a maximum 90 days per year).

What is an excess?

An excess is the first amount of the claim you must pay yourself. It applies per claim and per section but with SorryMatecycleinsurance.com you can choose the excess amount according to your needs. With a SorryMatecycleinsurance.com policy you can choose the level of Excess you wish to take and this amount is calculated on the insured value you choose. The options are 5%, 10%, 15% & 20%. The higher the Excess the cheaper the policy will be.

What is the definition of cycle on this insurance?

Any bicycle, adult tricycle or a tandem, powered by human pedalling and/or battery, including component parts and accessories permanently fixed to the cycle, specified in your policy schedule.

What confirmation of cover do I have?

When you buy your cycle insurance online, we’ll send you your Policy Schedule, Policy and Keyfacts documents via e-mail. If you have any concerns, please don’t hesitate to call 0845 676 9077.

Where can I find out what your cycle insurance covers?

Am I covered for accidental damage?

You will be covered, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy, for repair or replacement costs if your cycle is damaged as the result of an accident.

Am I covered for theft?

You will be covered, subject to the terms and conditions of the policy, if your cycle is stolen.

Am I covered for accidental loss?

You will not be covered for accidental loss under the Sorrymatecycleinsurance.com policy.

Am I covered for trips outside of the UK on my policy?

Yes, the Gold policy includes an allowance of 90 days outside of the UK to Europe.

How is accidental damage defined?

The sudden and unforeseen damage to the cycle or any third party property not otherwise specifically excluded within this policy.

Can a non-resident of the UK purchase a policy?

Only people resident in the United Kingdom are eligible for this insurance.

When does my insurance policy start?

Your policy begins from the date your policy was issued and runs for the 12 month period that is shown in your insurance schedule.

How are my policy details delivered?

Your policy details are delivered via your email address.

Am I covered if I’m a professional cyclist?

No, you are only eligible for cover if you are an amateur Cyclist and are not employed as a cycling professional.

How can I pay?

You can pay online using Visa, Mastercard, Switch/Maestro or Delta card.

How do I make a claim?

We know how important prompt, sympathetic and professional claims handling is. That’s why we have a special cycle insurance claims team. Full details of what you need to do to make a claim are shown in your policy wording. Please note: you will be expected to follow the claims procedure shown in your policy wording and to substantiate your claim by providing supporting documentation.

What do I do if I want to cancel my cycle insurance policy after I have paid?

You may cancel this policy within 14 days of receipt of your policy documentation. Providing your policy has been paid in full, you will receive a full premium refund as long as no valid claim has been made or is intended to be made and no incident likely to give rise to a valid claim has occurred. You must contact SorryMatecycleinsurance.com on 0845 676 9077 to confirm your wish to cancel.
