Meet The Team: Fergus Darlgarno

Fergus Dalgarno is the founder of Dalgarno Solicitors and SorryMate.com. He is an avid biker and also takes part in races in his spare time. We asked him a few questions about his passion and favourite bikes.

1. What was your first bike?

My first bike was a CB500 Honda but my first road legal bike was a Suzuki TS100 when I was 17.

2. What bike do you ride now?

I currently race a Kawasaki ZX6R and have a Yamaha LC250 on the road and am building a ZX10R Streetfighter. Also about to buy a Suzuki GSXR750 Slingshot (probably about 1986)

3. What made you think about starting SorryMate?

I had been a lawyer for about seven years and had been crashing bikes for about 35 years so it made sense to put the two together. I have always been obsessed with bikes so it made sense. It was the best thing I ever did, apart from buying a bike of course.

4. How and when did it get started?

SorryMate started about 6 years ago when we launched at the Manchester bike show with a pop-up awning and my race bike on the display. Just about everything was different except what we do. That has remained the same throughout.

5. You do some racing in your spare time. Where and how often do you race?

I have been racing Endurance for the last four years with Hottrax, which we also sponsor. This year I will be doing a few races but am running a team in the national Endurance.

6. If you could have any bike, what would it be?

A ZX10R Streetfighter. It’s on the way. That aside, a proper World Supersport ZX6R with the talent to ride it.
