It has been a great weekend of racing at SorryMate’s sponsored circuit Oliver’s Mount for this year’s Barry Sheene Festival.
Multiple wins for the team
With reigning champion and Cock O’The North winner Dean Harrison on British Superbike duty, David Bell took full advantage by claiming the illustrious Barry Sheene Trophy. In addition, there were also multiple wins for Daley Mathison, Jamie Coward, Steve & Matty Ramsden, Joey Thompson, James Cowton and Ian Stanford during a very competitive weekend of racing.
However, the highlight of the event involved Sheene’s son Freddie and 1981 British Superbike Champion Steve Parrish. Sheene restored his 1976 and 1977 World title-winning bikes for the event. They were both ridden by the pair in a special parade session.
The team will now focus on the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup
We now turn our attention to the final Oliver’s Mount meeting of the calendar year. This is the Steve Henshaw International Gold Cup. It will take place near the end of September.
